Climate Protection
Climate protection concerns us all! The Hanseatic City of Stralsund is shouldering its responsibility in this regard by sponsoring an integrated climate protection concept. Everyone who works, visits or lives in Stralsund can help the city achieve its climate protection targets.
In 2011, the City Council of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund adopted the Stralsund Climate Protection Concept (KSK). In July 2012, the city hired a climate protection manager.
He/She is responsible for city-wide coordination and has the following duties:
- ensuring that the Hanseatic City of Stralsund achieves its climate protection targets
- implementing the Climate Protection Concept and promoting its ongoing development
- updating the city’s carbon balance
- coordinating community outreach for climate protection
